Know about Hepatitis

By mia green at 2010-01-20 05:34:09
Hepatitis is characterized by the destruction of a number of liver cells and the presence of inflammatory cells in the liver tissue caused by excessive alcohol drinking, disorders of the gall bladder or pancreas, including medication side effects, and infections.

Most of the known viruses do not affect the liver. When doctors speak about hepatitis, they are usually referring to any of the five viruses identified that primarily attack the liver and are referred to as types A, B, C, D and E.

Hepatitis A - An inflammatory viral disease of the liver with a short incubation period. Hepatitis A may be transmitted by eating contaminated food, by fecal-oral contact, and/or through household contact.

Hepatitis B virus : is a severe disease caused by a virus that harms the liver. It is commonly known as hepatitis B virus (HBV).It also called as serum hepatitis. It can cause a wide number of symptoms ranging from general malaise to lifelong infection, cirrhosis of the liver.

Hepatitis C is usually spread by contact to human blood that has been contaminated with the hepatitis C virus. There is an astonishing number of people that are infected with the hepatitis C virus because of injection of drugs.

Hepatitis D (HDV) : Hepatitis D is caused by the virus HDV. You can only get hepatitis D if you are already infected with hepatitis B. Hepatitis D also causes inflammation of liver and is transmitted through infected blood, needles and sexual contact with with a person infected with HDV.

To better understand hepatitis, you must first know how you can get this disease. Well, before a person gets sick, but has already contacted the hepatitis A virus, they shed it in their feces. If somehow the hepatitis A virus gets into the main water supply and you use it to wash your body, food, etc.

What are the Symptoms of Hepatitis:

Itching
Dark urine
Muscle aches
Suppressed appetite
Nausea
Severe fatigue
Flu style symptoms
Headaches
Jaundice
Fever
Abdominal Pain

Healing hepatitis naturally:

Excellent hepatic or liver herbs include: Milk Thistle seeds, Dandelion Root, Boldo leaves, Artichoke, Turmeric, Oregon Grape, Barberry, Goldenseal root, Bupleurem, Gentian, Fenugreek seed, Chanca Piedra, Fringetree bark, Wahoo bark, Liverwort, Blue Flag, White Peony, Celadine, Agrimony, and Quassia Chips to name a few.

The best way to prevent hepatitis is try to avoid being exposed to it. This may include avoiding places that are unsanitary and also reducing contact with people who may be drug users.

The hepatitis C natural remedies that are more reliable are those that focus on the protection of your liver and those that try to keep your immune system healthy. However, there does not exist a natural cure of the hepatitis C virus.

There was a vaccination campain against schistomiasis, where the needels were reused, thus infecting many people with hepatitis C. A controversial case in either sex or prenatal transmission of hepatitis C are risk factors in the case of hepatitis.

Chronic hepatitis is a very serious condition that has no symptoms. A person may develop hepatitis symptoms when this disease has done many damage to the liver. Most of the women that become pregnant, find out that they suffer from chronic hepatitis after they go to an obstetrician.
